Mural design by Sarah Ryan is installed in the Circle Reading Reading

Fifteen UIC Graphic Design students participated in the development of a mural design for the new Circle Reading Room of the Daley Library. Dedicated on Sunday, February  22, 2015, by Mary Case, Dean of Libraries, the mural was designed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the UIC Circle campus.

Participating students drew inspiration from the Circle Campus plan developed by architect, Walter Netsche. The solution presented by Sarah Ryan was selected for installation, and mural designs by the other students are on display in the Daley Library.

Sarah's mural utilizes an aeriel photography of the historic campus and celebrates our library as the incubator of ideas and as host of energetic circles of minds, talent, drive, and skill that have led, and continue to lead, UIC students to pathways of success.
