Stephen Melamed to present at the IDSA International Conference

Stephen Melamed, Clinical Professor and Chair of UIC Industrial Design, has been invited to make a presentation at the International Conference of the Industrial Design Society of America (IDSA). To be held in Seattle, August 19-22, 2015, this year's conference, "The Future of The Future," will celebrate the achievements of the design community in the last half century and accelerate reinvention of the profession to ensure its relevance in the 21st century.

Melamed will deliver an address "Designing the Future of Education" to attendees participating in the 2015 IDSA Educational Symposium, a forum which brings together designers, educators and thought leaders who are creating original educational programs and tools to shape early and mid-21st century education—from design school programs to K-12; from corporate education to educating the general public.

Professor Melamed has additionally had a paper accepted for publication in the IDSA peer reviewed journal, “What / So What / Now What :: The Future of the Future of Industrial Design Education."
