A native of Lima, Peru, Veronica Belsuzarri joined UIC’s School of Design in 2012. In her time at UIC, she has co-taught senior-level professional practice and colloquium courses, served as a teaching associate and visiting critic, and designed the School of Design’s website. Previous roles include senior designer for the McKinsey Quarterly and McKinsey & Company publishing department, and designer for the Office of the Cook County Clerk's Election Division, where she worked as part of a collaborative of students and educators to research, design and implement improved voter materials in response to the closely contested 2000 election. During this time, she also collaborated with AIGA’s Design for Democracy in developing national election design models. Veronica’s work has been exhibited in cultural institutions around the world, including Neocon Design Show, the Smithsonian Institute Museum of American History and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
