Linda Bracamontes-Roeger’s professional research includes print and interface design. Prior to joining UIC, Linda worked as a senior designer for Morningstar, where she developed and implemented new corporate and product identities. Previously, Linda served as a senior designer at Day Interactive Switzerland, focusing on interactive and digital design. She has also served as the editor of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) design education journal, Inform, and chaired three AIGA design education conferences: Future History 2002, 2004, and 2009.
Linda’s design work has received recognition from AIGA, the Art Directors Club New York, and Print magazine. Her interactive work was displayed at the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum in Geneva Switzerland, and she has received multiple grants for her projects, including Adobe, the Graham Foundation, and MeadWestvaco. In 2005, Linda was awarded the UIC Silver Circle Award for Teaching Excellence. In addition to her role at UIC, Linda leads design workshops, has lectured in Mexico, and operates her practice, Roeger Design, with her partner Oliver Roeger in Chicago.
