Daria Tsoupikova and Grace Spee at SIGGRAPH 2022

Daria Tsoupikova, Professor of Digital Media Design, and Grace Spee, Assistant Professor of Digital Media Design, coordinated the Art Gallery at SIGGRAPH 2022, the international computer graphics and animation conference. The SIGGRAPH Art Gallery is a juried exhibition that showcases the latest innovations in digital art, animation, and virtual reality. This year, nine artists were chosen to display their work investigating concepts of art, climate change, and health as related to the global pandemic.

Additionally, Daria’s virtual reality theatre work, HUMMINGBIRD, was shown in the Immersion Pavilion. HUMMINGBIRD is a multiuser theatrical performance merging live theater and virtual reality into an immersive experience that smashes together storytelling, gaming and virtual reality.
