Final reviews for UIC HGK Basel students

The graduate thesis work of students enrolled in the UIC International Masters program delivered at the Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst (HGK) Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz (FHNW) will be reviewed by the inter-institutional faculty committee on Tuesday, September 2nd in Basel, Switzerland.

The UIC HGK Basel Thesis Exhibition will take place on Friday September 12th in a gallery space on the new Basel School of Design campus site, Dreispitz. In addition to housing the Visual Communication Institute, where the UIC HGK students study, the new campus will be an extensive art and design environment with studios, museums, apartment housing, restaurants, a radio station and events space.

The UIC HGK Basel MDes addresses students who want to be part of an international program influenced by the tradition of Swiss Graphic Design and the current academic perspective and standards of the University of Illinois at Chicago and the Basel School of Design. Of special interest for students is the opportunity to graduate with an internationally accredited Master of Design (MDes) degree. Students are matriculated and registered at UIC with classes being held at the FHNW/HGK Visual Communication Institute in Basel.
