Susan Stirling :: Design Research Lecture Series

Susan Stirling is an independent design consultant, researcher and strategist who specializes in user-centered design process, ethnographic research methodology, analysis and synthesis of data, team leadership, and change management. She conducts user-centered design research including methods such as observation, surveys, interviews and workshops followed by thorough analysis and synthesis of data. Stirling identifies key insights to develop design strategies based on business goals. Her clients include Steelcase, Wrigley and McDonald's Corporation.

Stirling received a Bachelor of Science in Art at University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Design Methods from IIT Institute of Design. Currently a member of the UIC Design adjunct faculty, Stirling also teaches courses in Design, and Design Research Methods at Columbia College Chicago.
