MDes Student Bahar Aryana awarded Gianninoto Scholarship
Many congrats to UIC Design MDes ID student Bahar Aryana, who has been named the Graduate Recipient of the prestigious IDSA Gianninoto Scholarship. This scholarship is named for Francesco Gianninoto, an American package designer who was a founder of the Package Design Council and honorary professor at Western Connecticut State University.
Bahar Aryana is an Iranian industrial designer with a lifelong passion for blending art and science. Earning a Bachelor’s degree from one of Iran’s top art universities, Bahar gained hands-on experience through consumer-centered projects, including a facial massage device for Bell’s palsy. Their professional work includes collaborations with leading Iranian product and packaging companies, where Bahar excelled in roles like CGI artist and SolidWorks instructor, winning awards and contributing to sustainable design initiatives.
