Marcia Lausen serves on jury for SEGD Global Design Awards
UIC School of Design Director, Marcia Lausen, served as a juror for the 2016 Global Design Awards program of the Society of Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD).
Since 1987, the SEGD Global Design Awards progam have set a standard of excellence for experiental graphic design—honoring design work that connects people to place by providing direction, content, and compelling experiences in public spaces. Awards are judged in categories that reflect the evolving forms of environmental design practice: Digital Experience Content, Exhibitions, Interactive Experience, Placemaking and Identity, Public Installation, Strategy/Research/Planning, and Wayfinding.
Lausen joined fellow jurors representing a variety of design disciplines in Washington DC for three days of critical review and discourse. Awards will be presented at the SEGD Conference in Seattle, June 9-11, 2016.
