UIC Design students recognized by Graphis New Talent Annual

 

Student work from Typography III, a course that explores three-dimensional typography was recognized in the 2018 Graphis New Talent Annual. The project ABC 3D+2D produced in the class taught by Design faculty Sharon Oiga and Felicia Ferrone received the Silver Award in the Design Typography category. The Environmental Typography project from a class taught by Amir Berbić won the Merit Award in the Environmental Design category.

Graphis is an international publisher of books on communication design. Based in New York City, Graphis presents and promotes the best submitted work in graphic design, advertising, photography and art/illustration. Its New Talent Annual publication features award-winning student work coming out of art and design programs from across the world. The 2018 entries were judged by a panel of industry leaders, including Melchior Imboden, Chad Grandey, Michael Pantuso, and Michael Schillig, among others.
