Brian Anderson presents at Kyoto Design Lab

KYOTO Design Lab[D-lab] recently hosted a public presentation by Brian Anderson, UIC Assistant Professor of Industrial Design, and Visiting Scholar at D-Lab. Anderson is working on a proposal to extend traditional Japanese crafts using digital fabrication tools. His presentation explores the use of 3D printing and the potential of additive manufacturing to simplify logistics and localize production. Designing for Speed responds experimentally, pragmatically, and optimistically to the potential for producing locally.
