Adam Middleton joined the UIC School of Design Faculty in fall 2016. In addition to his role at UIC, Adam is the creative director for the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. Previously, he served as the head of creative services for UBS Asset Management’s Chicago and New York Offices, and as an art director at Morningstar. Along with his wife, Rachael Bush Middleton, Adam is also the principal of Yellow Barn Design, partnering with clients ranging from nonprofit organizations to global financial institutions.

Adam and Rachael live in Homewood, Illinois with their children, Carter and Evelyn, and their two dogs. They truly do have a yellow barn where they keep their small flock of chickens.
