Bridgette Buckley is an award-winning furniture designer and maker based in Chicago. Her sensibilities are deeply rooted in Scandinavian culture and aesthetic which she adopted after studying, living, and working in the region. She honors craft, respects material, and believes the objects we surround ourselves with should bring joy, facilitate social connection, and conjure body awareness.

In the Fall of 2019, Bridgette became Principal and Director of Design at Maxine Snider, Inc., a Chicago-based company that produces meticulously crafted, highly refined furniture. Established in 1998 by the legendary Maxine Snider, the collection is made up of modern classics designed and constructed to endure as heirlooms. Bridgette builds on the foundation Maxine established by adding pieces that align with the spirit of the company’s mission to honor the past but look to the future.

Prior to her current role, Bridgette held the position of Senior Designer in the Furniture Design Studio of Holly Hunt. There she designed and developed furniture for the in-house collection Holly Hunt Studio, and Holly Hunt Outdoor, which launched in December 2016. She also celebrated the 10 year anniversary of the successful Siren Dining Chair which she designed between 2004 and 2007. In her independent practice she has developed furniture for several luxury brands.
