John Dominski is a curious designer, researcher, and strategist with a drive to create new value for users. An ethnographer by training, a storyteller by profession, and an aspiring entrepreneur, he’s passionate about unlocking the pure joy of everyone’s inner eight-year-old.
Over the past 12 years John has developed a craft of using field research to uncover design insights working with incredibly talented teams at gravitytank, Northern Trust, and the Institute for Healthcare Delivery Design at UIC. John also teaches Introduction to Video Storytelling at the Institute of Design at IIT with Chuck Smith. The course grew from collaborations at work, and we love sharing the tried-and-true techniques for surfacing authentic stories in research and turning them into audio or video stories that stick.
